Abstract: The textbook "Geochemistry of isotopes" was published in 2019 (author: Petro Bilonizhka. Lviv: Ivan Franko LNU, 2019. 190 p.), in which theoretical foundations of the structure of atoms and atomic nuclei of chemical elements and stable and radioactive isotopes are considered, radiological methods for determining the age of rocks, minerals and other natural formations are characterized in detail, the geochemistry and distribution of stable isotopes of carbon, sulfur, oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen in natural processes as well as their genetic and exploratory significance are analyzed, the use of radioactive decay of isotopes in nuclear energy, research and technology, and the impact of radioactivity on the environment are shown.
