Abstract: Valter Anton Antonovych, a famous Ukrainian mineralogist, a Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, an outstanding scientist in the field of general, structural and applied mineralogy, physicochemical petrology, physics of minerals, and comparative planetology, died on January 2, 2021. He also studied the issues of the mineralogy of rare metal, gold and uranium deposits in Ukraine. He discovered a new type of geological structure in Ukraine — fossil meteorite craters and their diamond-bearing capacity, a new type of minerals — "monoisotopic raw materials".
