Abstract: Aleksandr Borysovych Brik, a famous Ukrainian physicist, mineralogist, a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, an outstanding scientist in the field of nanophysics of minerals, biomineralogy, technological mineralogy, nanomineralogy and applied mineralogy, died on April 17, 2021. He studied the nature of magnetic phenomena in minerals, special properties of quartz and opal, biogenic, synthetic and abiogenic hydroxylapatite and magnetite. Using the method of ferromagnetic resonance, he discovered in the brain tissues the presence of mineral (inorganic) formations of iron-containing nanominerals, which have unique properties.
