IN BLESSED MEMORY OF OLEXANDR MYKOLAYOVYCH DONSKOY

Abstract: On March 30, 2018, Olexandr Mykolayovych Donskoy passed away at the age of 84. Ukrainian scientist-geologist, doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences, leading researcher. More than 60 years of his life he gave his scientific work. Many of his works are devoted to solving an important national economic problem - providing the aluminum industry of the country with its own raw materials. Olexandr M. Donskoy is one of the developers of an effective hydro chemical method for obtaining alumina, rare metals, alkalis and the like from nepheline syenites. This allows us to create a powerful raw material base that will provide Ukraine with its own alumina for a decade ahead.
