Abstract:

On January 9, 2019 the M.P. Semenenko Institute of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Ore Formation, NAS of Ukraine has passed its 50 years since foundation. This institution comprises) the multidisciplinary activities of many specialists – geochemists and chemists, mineralogists and physicist, ore prospectors) and metallogenists - aimed at comprehensive study of material composition of natural objects for the purpose of development of scientific foundations to promote satisfaction of needs of Ukraine in mineral raw materials and its rational use. Current activities carried out include such scientific directions as geochemistry of the rock- and ore-forming processes, prospection and environmental geochemistry, regional and genetic mineralogy, physics of minerals  and nano-mineralogy; petrology of endogenic processes; geology, metallogeny and prediction of  presence of mineral deposits in Ukraine.
