Abstract:
Article describes almost 60 years of history and major scientific achievements of the Institute of Mineral Resources (Simferopol, Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Ukraine) it. Main results of scientific researches and practical developments concerning principal activities of the institute - surveys, prospection and exploration, technologies of metallic and non-metallic ores enrichment, technogenic deposits development, ground works in environmental researches - are discussed. Reasons and events that led to the decline and the Institute work cessation are described.
