Abstract: A monograph Geochemistry of Biosphere was published in 2018 (Petro Bilonizhka, Lviv: Ivan Franko Lviv National University, 2018. 182 p.), in which main features of the geochemistry of biosphere are described. The nature of the interconnection between living organisms and natural environment, physical and chemical conditions of the existence of life on Earth, chemical composition, energy peculiarities and evolutionary changes of organisms are discussed. The influence of living matter on the formation of sedimentary rocks, soils, ores and minerals, processes of migration of chemical elements and the change of the chemical composition of the atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithospheric surface are explained.
