Abstract: The question of modern gas emanations was left out of the attention of previous studies of the Ukrainian Shield. In order to determine the current fluidodynamic situation, a study was conducted in the areas where the rooting of the pink granites of the Korsun-Novomyrhorod pluton into the Rapakivi granites within the Sivach quarry was recorded. In the Sivach quarry, a study of the gas composition in the rocks exposed by the workings and in water was conducted for the first time. The peculiarity of the result is the establishment of close gas parameters in the exhausted Zhytomyr pit, that is, it is possible to consider the similarity of the gas state of the northwestern and central parts of the shield. The indicator of i-butanes is the most characteristic of the USh gas mixture. During the field work, for the second time, after 1984, the presence of pink granite outcrops and pegmatite veins of the Korsun-Novomyrhorod pluton, breaking through the rapakivi granites in this quarry, was established. Quarry waters can act as a screen for gases migrating through densified areas of the Ukrainian shield, and partially absorb them and transfer them to adjacent areas. Similar processes of redistribution of gases in the lithosphere at different depths have been established in the sedimentary and sedimentary-volcanogenic strata of the Dnipro-Donetsk depression and in the coal-bearing massifs of the Donetsk basin, which was reflected in previous works.
