Abstract: Natan (Anatoly) I. Ginzburg was the leader in the field of mineralogy and geochemistry of deposits of rare elements, has extended and deepened the teachings on pegmatites. He has created a powerful school of applied mineralogy, in which he developed mainly three of its sections — exploratory mineralogy, technological mineralogy, science about new types of mineral raw materials.
